Old Glory Antiques...

Old Glory Antiques is mostly filled with vintage pieces, but any type of designer could find a fabulous accessory to finish off a room. A huge plus, almost all of the furniture used for display is on sale, so don't look past those! It truly is a shop filled with 'our favorite things'....pillows, lamps, frames, vases, mirrors and unique furniture! This is a great place to find an unusual gift for a unique friend! You can check out their website if you click here. (Please note: Old Glory Antiques originally resided in Conifer)

Den Haus

For the truly modern dog owner (and the occasional cat)! These polished fiberglass crates double up as a table and a sleeping den....great for those of us who live in cramped quarters. People and pets should be able to live happily, and beautifully, together. You can find more information (and other designs) if you click here.

Terrarium Globes...

I love these terrarium globes with mini succulents! These would make great DIY gifts or could look amazing grouped together on a side table. Thanks to Design Sponge for posting these creative beauties! You can check out the full project instructions if you click here.

Recycled Beauties...

Learning to 'live green' is much easier than we thought! Architectural salvages are filled with recycled furniture, windows, lighting, and much more! I am in love with the bench shown above..... how fabulous would that look in your entry way ready to greet guests (maybe painted a fun color)! A few well known stores worth checking out are Architectural Salvage (also known as Salvage Lady), Architectural Artifacts, and Eron Johnson, each one amazing in their own way! Plan on spending over an hour at each shop....you can easily get lost among all the fabulous finds!

My Dream Backyard...

My husband and I have been house shopping in the Highlands for the past few months, and I immediately pictured my future backyard when I found this photo! Most of the houses sit on long, narrow lots with a garage in the back leading from an alley. So, not only do you need an amazing patio for entertaining, but you need a designated walk-way to and from the garage! This backyard is a solution to everything, and it still looks amazing! BBQ anyone?

The Paper Lady

The Paper Lady...to the rescue! I have a fondness for this amazing boutique - not only did they provide us with our amazing wedding invitations (sample shown left by Vera Wang), but Erin Martin became my wonderful wedding planner for 'the day of' our wedding. The Paper Lady has filled every corner and shelf of their shop with any type of paper goods imaginable.... birthday cards, baby announcements, wedding invitations, and even something to use at your next 'Western' themed get together. There are even a few adorable extras like paper weights and monogrammed melamine plates. Check them out here or just stop by!

Say Cheese....(or maybe 'I Do!')

I love weddings, all of my friends will tell you that. But the day I met Paige Elizabeth I was amazed....she loves, loves, loves weddings! Choosing Paige to photograph our special day was an easy choice, but choosing our favorite photos from the 1,200 that she took, let's just say is nearly impossible. Not only does Paige photograph weddings, she also does families, portraits, and babies. I could go on and on how wonderful she is, but instead I will let you experience Paige and her work yourself by clicking here. (You can view some of our wedding photos featured on her blog here)

Red Door Swingin'

Red Door Swingin' has been around since '03 and is a prime example when you think of someone supporting the 'Denver design community'. Suzanne, the store owner, describes it best, "My mission here at the boutique has been one of harmony ~ keeping the neighborhood feeling by carrying a strong 30 - 35 local artisans from all levels of craft & art." Though the store originally opened it's doors with a vintage theme, it has now grown to carry new home accessories, hand painted furniture, locally sewn messenger bags, vintage clothing, vintage nick knacks, and loads of spectacular jewelry. Even better, Suzanne practices a 'green way of business' by recycle/reusing products and furniture....there are many fabulous pieces she has given a 'make over' for purchase. You can browse her website or find directions if you click here.

Shopping for a New Home

My husband and I have been searching for our 'first home' for months now. There is a perfect home out there for us....all in good time (and at a good price). I recently found this amazing website that's a real estate service specifically dedicated to Modern Architectural Properties in Denver called Mile Hi Modern . I personally liked the 'Over $1 Million' home search....found a few I wouldn't mind living in.
