Symmetry Soothes the Eye...
Love this bold room... but do you know why it works so well? The symmetry. Even though it's a mix of styles... bungalow, modern, traditional, and glamorous and THEN a wild mix of colors and patterns, the symmetry grounds the room and calms the eye.
I will say though... no man lives in this home. ;)

... and it looks as though the symmetry is used around the whole room. I tend to use it where the focal point of the room is and forget to use it to balance the whole room. Thanks for this gorgeous picture (love the black and white stripe sofa!)
