A speed bump....

So, some unfortunate news. I am writing this post on my iPhone because I don't have a computer anymore.... Why you ask? Well, our house was broken into on Friday. Luckily (and a scary thought) my husband came home while they were still here so they didn't get away with much and we were able to catch his license plate. We have some leads and hopes of catching them, and I am double crossing my fingers I get my computer back.

I am writing this only for the hopes of opening everyone elses eyes. We live in a nice neighborhood, it was broad daylight, and most of our neighbors were home. You always think it's not going to be you, but you never know. We found out these guys have been doing series of houses around us and had just been waiting for me to leave that day.

I will keep y'all updated...So until then, the blog is on hold again.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this. It is scary to think someone was in your home like that. Hope the bad guys are caught and some of your items are returned or replaced soon.

Oh no! I have some other friends in Denver that had their home broken into recently too. You don't happen to live near Berkley Park, do you? I hope you are back to normal soon.

Wow. At least they waited til you were gone. Scary.

Thanks for sharing your remodeling photos. I especially loved the pink kitchen from 1956. That's the year I was born, and often wondered what one would look like back then.

I'm working on a 1930 cottage of my own, and it's about to kick my rear! LOL
