A speed bump....

So, some unfortunate news. I am writing this post on my iPhone because I don't have a computer anymore.... Why you ask? Well, our house was broken into on Friday. Luckily (and a scary thought) my husband came home while they were still here so they didn't get away with much and we were able to catch his license plate. We have some leads and hopes of catching them, and I am double crossing my fingers I get my computer back.

I am writing this only for the hopes of opening everyone elses eyes. We live in a nice neighborhood, it was broad daylight, and most of our neighbors were home. You always think it's not going to be you, but you never know. We found out these guys have been doing series of houses around us and had just been waiting for me to leave that day.

I will keep y'all updated...So until then, the blog is on hold again.

Messing Around

Sorry everyone... I am playing with my settings so my layout may change a few times over the next few days.  My ultimate goal is to have my blog professionally designed (I am no web/graphics master)... just all in good time!

I am back!!!!.....

I've had lots of changes over the last few weeks, and I am excited to announce 3 BIG things.  First, that I quit my sales job and am going back to residential design!  I took a position with the fabulous team of Alvarez Morris, and I couldn't be more excited about this next journey in my life.  They do some amazing projects, and I can't wait to be apart of them.

Second,  this is WAY late, but I was fortunate enough to be featured in the June 2010 issue of 5280 Magazine! 

If you still have a copy, check out the bottom left hand corner of page 72.  Under the article Wild, Wild Web my very own Design Around Denver (DaD) was listed as 1 of 3 'home' blogs to check out.  It goes a little something like this.... (hit it)...

Wow... SO EXCITING.  I feel very honored.  Is it silly to frame this? ha....

....and last but not least... {DaD} will be back up and running!  I've been away for about 3 months now and it has been WAY too long. Stay tuned!
